Jean-Jacques found his inspiration from his father. Visiting producers in the wine country gave him his love of wine forever. Born in Paris, Jean-Jacques enjoyed the city of lights and trained in many wine schools in Paris. Following his wife 25 years ago, he started his Michigan journey at a leading gourmet retail store. After managing this exquisite store, Jean-Jacques moved on working and managing a fine wine distributor. He started to import the wines directly from his family's vineyard in Bordeaux, the Château les Roques, Loupiac and the Château du Pavillon, Bordeaux Rouge. In 2003, Jean-Jacques with his partner, created Eagle Eye Brands. Their mission: To exclusively represent some of the world's best vintners. To select the Estates based on either the best representation of an appellation or a wine that represents the best in both quality and value. Eagle Eye Brands is a distributor in Michigan and Illinois. In 2004, Jean-Jacques and his partner forged ahead on a new journey when they purchased a winery in the Languedoc region of France where they produce an AOC Languedoc Cru la Clape. In July 2017, his daughter Hélène joined the wine industry and purchased Birmingham Wine Shop. After 14 years as president of Eagle Eye Brands, Jean-Jacques is moving on and started in January 2018, Rochester Wine, a fine wine retailer located within The Cheese Lady Rochester.
