Prince de Tabourg Côtes de Bourg 2019
"One of Bordeaux's often overlooked good-quality, good-value regions, the Côtes de Bourg produces mostly well-made red wines.
The region is heavily impacted by the Atlantic Ocean, resulting in a moderate environment that enhances the expression of terroir. In comparison to Bordeaux, the Cotes de Bourg enjoys 10% more sunlight, a temperature drop of 1-2 degrees Celsius, and 10-25% less rainfall.
In 1356, the Black Prince (for whom this wine is named) annexed Bourg sur Gironde and Tauriac. It was during this period that Bordeaux was part of England, and the fame of this wine-growing region began"
