Weingut Pflüger Cuvée Noir Qualitätswein Trocken Palatinate Pfalz Germany

The biodynamic (demeter) estate from winemaker Alex Pflüger farms on 40 hectares the best vineyard sites of the wine region Palatine.

The 2019 vintage was again marked by some extremes. The yield is average, but the quality is special. Elegant wines with fine exotic, intense aromas, a good freshness and juicy ripe acidity. Ripe dark fruit mixed with spicy nuances, fruity-spicy, dark cherry, anis and pimento.    Spontaneous fermentation on the mesh, aged for around 18 months in big wooden casks.

Blend: Dornfelder, Cabernet Sauvignon

The Pflüger family has farmed land on the edge of the Palatinate Forest near Bad Dürkheim for 200 years. As for the region in which we have lived and worked for so long, we have an intimate relationship. We protect, what we love.  At a time when few were talking about it, Bernd Pflüger (Alex's father), took the leap into organic farming. He was one of the first from a handful of Palatinate winegrowers who converted their businesses. At the end of the 1980s, they were the organic pioneers.

Press WE 89 Pts "Polished red, with pretty blueberry and mulberry notes. It is pure and elegant, with silky tannins and good length on the finish"  Elegant and smooth.
